i'm so happy that this blogger was born. first of all: excuse me for my bad english, as i told in my profile, i'm a hungarian girl - woman, lady, as you like :) - and i just would like to show my sketch-works and illustrations to people living in other countries. i think the title 'sketchpause' will take some explaining. in hungarian the word 'pause' is the same form as in english 'pause' but its meaning is different. in my country this word means the transparent, onion-skin paper, that you can use for the sketching or for copying your characters to their final place. so this pun has two different meanings: one is for british 'have a break for sketching' and one is for hungarians 'onion-skin copier paper'. and the third and most important meaning is the name of the character 'numérbis' - from the film 'mission cléopâtre' - in hungary. keep it short and to the point! :)

nézzük ugyanezt magyarul, szabad fordításban: isten hozott kedves látogató! örülök neked és a blog lehetőségének. a címet magyaráztam fentebb hosszasan, ami egy (angolra) lefordíthatatlan szójáték és mint ilyen, meglepő módon nehezen lefordítható. magyarul talán érthetőbb lesz: a 'sketchpause' kifejezés eredendően a magyar 'skiccpausz' szóból született, amely eszköz nálunk közismert (azontúl, hogy skiccpausz egy személy is egyben, hiszen a 'kleopátra küldetés' c. filmben így fordították - nagyon frappánsan - a tehetséges építész nevét.) így tehát mi, akik emezt a nyelvet beszéljük, e két jelentést köthetjük a blog címéhez, angolul azonban kb. annyit tesz: 'firkaszünet'. röviden ennyi! :)
